Day 2: Catalina Island

We got up Tuesday morning in Catalina Island. We got off the ship in the morning and stayed and played until around 2:30. We had to take a little boat ride from our ship to the island and then walked a little ways to the beach. We found some spots on the beach and played there the whole time. The kids were in heaven! There were little crawdad guys that the kids spend hours catching and making homes for.

 The kids scooped out a bunch of sand to make a place to hold all of the crawfish they caught. They ran back and forth, back and forth getting water to fill the hole with for their new friends.

 

The big boys took a break for a while and swam to the dock and jumped off into the water.

On the other side of a pier, there was a giant inflatable obstacle course that Christian took the two bigger boys over to play on. They were joined by some of my cousins and their kids while they played over there.

Around 2:30, we caught a ride back to the cruise ship. Once we were back on the ship, we grabbed some lunch and then headed back to the water slides on the ship.

 There were 3 different slides on the cruise shop for the kids to play on and they loved all of them!

After playing in the water for a while, we headed back to our rooms to get showered for dinner. It was "fancy" dress night, and we had plans to have a whole Savage Family picture taken after dinner.

The dinner crew danced and sang before our dinner and got the kids to get up and dance with them.

We had to leave our dinner before we had dessert so we could go get a picture with everyone that was there for the Savage Reunion. It took a while for our turn, but it was a great sight to see! There were 43 of us on the cruise ship.

Carson was so tired during the picture organizing and took a little snooze while we were waiting to be told what to do.

After pictures, we took advantage of the 24 hour ice cream machine and had our dessert since we missed out on having it in the dinning room.
