The cows are home!

Christian and the boys spent the weekend helping Grandpa Asay bring the cows home from Dry Head to their winter pasture. They left about 6:00 Saturday morning to trail them from on set of corral to another set closer home. It's about a 15 mile ride. It was a beautiful day:a little chilly in the morning, but warmed up nice in the afternoon!
Travis, Sam (one of Chrisitian's relatives) and Carson following behind the cows.

My Cowboys! Travis made me laugh when he was riding because the ear flaps on his hat would bounce up and down as he rode.

Everyone stopped for lunch around 1:30. We cooked up some yummy hamburgers and then they went on their way for the last little push into the corrals.
Having some lunch!
Chloe, Paige, Janelle, Landon, Stahle and Britt playing in the back of the truck.

They were done with cows around 3, so Christian decided to take the three boys out pheasant hunting on opening day. They walked down two strips and were able to scare up a bird in each place. They were pretty excited about getting to go hunting.

While they were hunting, I had gone to Powell for a girl's crafternoon at my mom's house. My cousin, Angela, came down from Worland to show us how to make Thanksgiving subway art. It was pretty time consuming and there was LOTS of glitter everywhere, but we made some pretty cute Thanksgiving décor! We had planned on it only taking a couple of hours, and had plans to come back to Lovell for dinner and play games after but, it actually took us closer to 4 hours! We hurried and ran over so the boys could see Butts, only to find them all asleep on the floor downstairs. They tried their hardest to stay up, but just couldn't do it after a long day! They did wake up enough to say hi but made their way to bed pretty quick. The rest of  us ate some goodies for our dinner and then said our goodbyes.
