February Happenings

February has been a drag! We haven't been up to much. It's actually been quite warm (40's and 50's) for this time of year, but cloudy and WINDY! Here are a few things we have done this far this month.
Carson has been studying the solar system. They picked planets and have been researching them. One of the things they had to do also was either create a solor system model or a model of their planet. Carson decided to do the whole solar system with an emphasis on his planed: Neptune. Today, we got to go and listen as they presented their power point presentations on their planets. He did a real good job. I am continually amazed at how much they know and how tech savvy they are. They created their power points on their ipads and were great!

Grandpa Asay has had lots of new baby animals down at the farm. We went out one Saturday to see the new bunnies, along with the baby goats, lambs and calves.
Checking out the new bunnies. They weren't so sure about the white one with red eyes.

The baby goats were all super friendly and loved the boys!

We celebrated Valentine's Day. We had some cousins over to decorate cookies one morning and played.

Christian and the boys sent me these flowers.

Saturday night (since Valentine's day was on a Sunday and we always do dinner at grandma Asay's house), Carson and helped me do an impromptu Valentine's dinner for everyone else. He and I served everyone and we ate with candlelight.

For Valentine's day, I decorated their doors using streamers and the hearts we wrote nice things on about each other for FHE, along with a candy gram and balloon.

Last night was our Blue and Gold Banquet for cub scouts. We had a multi cultural theme and asked people that had served foreign missions if we could borrow stuff to decorate the tables with. We had things from all across the world. The families each brought a main dish from another country. It was fun to see all the different dishes! Carson was awarded 3 awards also. I am happy to have this blue and gold in the books and not to have to worry about another one until next year!
