This is what has been going on in the Asay household the last week...or so!
The boys went and picked out pumpkins from grandma Asay's garden. She had lots of them this year, so they had had quite a time deciding which ones they wanted. They picked some really good ones and are super excited to get to carve them!
Carson finished up his flag football season. They had a game on Monday on the high school field (which they were stoked about). They played during the half time of the JV game that was going on.
| They got to welcome the high school JV team back onto the field after their half time. |
Carson's last game was last night. They got to play against Cowley on their high school field and beat them 14-8. He had a really fun season and is looking forward to tackle football next year.
| I love this picture. Carson had just got the flag off a kid and his best friend, Jacob was giving him a five. These two play football together ALL THE TIME. They love it! |
| Their coaches were nice enough to bring root beer floats for them to have after their game. |
We watched conference. The boys sat through most of the sessions this year and listened. They were very good about staying quiet and helping Landon sit and listen. My favorite was when Carson and Landon shared the big keg of cheese balls while they listened.
In basement news, we got our toilet installed...but not without problems. As our plumber was hooking it up, he realized that he had forgotten to switch the hot and cold water (because they were installed backwards when it was initially done...I guess) hook-ups so now everything is backwards. Yes, our shower and sink's hot and cold are backwards and our toilet is currently hooked up to hot water. The sink will be an easy fix (so he says), but in order to make it so that we aren't heating water every time we flush, he's going to have to cut a hole in Travis's room so that he can get the hot and cold straightened out. And, he was supposed to do it last Saturday, but never showed up (not a surprise with this guy) and when I texted him about it this week, no reply back (we want to get it done before the guy to sheet rocked it leaves out of town for work can fix the hole). We shall see when this mess gets fixed. RANT. OVER. I've slowly been finishing up the trim work stuff, but still need to paint 6 doors...and they are a pain! The guy came and glued down all the tack strips for our carpet and fill hopefully be able to get it all installed this weekend! I can't wait!

And just because he is cute! He came in to talk to me while I was getting ready one morning and was giving his bear a piggy back ride. It was too cute!![]() | ||||||||
We ended our week by heading to the lake yesterday. It was an amazing 80 degrees so we decided to take the boat out for the last time before we take it to get winterized. We picked up chicken for lunch and just planned to go for a ride because we knew the water was going to be cold it was kind of breezy. When we got out there, the wind wasn't bad and the boys couldn't stand to see good water go to waste, so they braved the cold water! Carson and Travis both skied and all three boys tubed. Now they can say that they have waterskied in October! We took a drive up the canyon a ways before we headed back to the dock. It was a great day and the trees were beautiful out there!
