The kids had a fall break from school last Friday and this Monday. When thinking about something to do on our days off, I remembered that we never did get to visit the honey factory (it was one of the items on our summer bucket list). I texted my friend, Ruth Zeller, whose in-laws own the honey factory, and asked her if it would be possible to have a tour. She was kind enough to give us a tour herself yesterday. We got to see all the machines, where the honey comes in, the candy tables, where they store and package everything, and finally where they sell the end results. Best part of the tour was the yummy samples Ruth gave us!

| This was probably the best room: where they stored the chocolate covered candies...it smelled so good! We all got to sample one of the caramels and loved them! |

After the tour, I let the boys each pick out one of something from the display case. That night for our family home evening treat, we divided the candies up and had a sampling. We loved the honeymooners and the mint truffle!
With this crossed off our bucket list finally, there was only one item that we didn't get to and that was going to the drive in to a movie. Hopefully next summer we will make it to one!
Such a fun idea. Love it.
