Memorial Day weekend!

We love it when we get to have a long weekend with Christian at home. We took advantage of all the time we had over Memorial Day weekend this year. Friday, was the only day that week that we didn't have to be anywhere in the morning, so we pulled out the car and cleaned it out and vacuumed it all. The boys did a really good job of hosing down the car mats for me. As soon as they had their job done, they were using the hose to squirt each other and making  a mess in the mud...but were having a great time!
Landon and Travis enjoying a popsicle at 10 in the morning while I cleaned out the car. It was a warm one that day!
Saturday, we slept in and had a late breakfast. After breakfast, we planted our garden. The boys were all really good helpers and Travis was our photographer (until he dropped the camera and it didn't work any more). This year, we extended out our garden a little bit. We planted 18 tomato plants, 8 bell pepper plants, 4 each of jalapeno and Hungarian wax plants, 2 cucumber plants, a squash, zucchini, watermelon and cantaloupe plant. He are hoping that it produces as well as it did last summer!
We had to move some dirt around before we started to level it out some.
Planting away.

Teamwork in pajamas!

After planting the garden, we ran out to grandpa and grandma Asay's house so that Christian could spray some weeds for his mom. Michael and Emily showed up shortly after we got there, so the boys were excited to get to hang out with their cousins. We all went and checked out the sheep and goats and then hung out for a bit. On our way home, we noticed that there was a storm coming in. As I was observing, I noticed what looked like a fire and thought it was interesting that the smoke was the exact some color as the clouds. As we drove a little bit more, we finally realized that it wasn't smoke, it was a TORNADO! It was the craziest thing. We stopped to take a picture and watch it for a bit. By the time we got to town, it had dissolved, but continued to watch the storm as it moved thinking we were going to get some major rain and hail, but we never really did. We got a little rain was all.
My picture of the tornado. I'm sad all I had was my phone to snap a picture with.

That evening, after the kids had napped, we made our way over to Powell for dinner. Megan and Jabin were able to fly into Billings earlier that morning, so we partied with everyone!
Enjoying some dinner.
The boys think Jabin is pretty cool and were able to talk him into eating at the kids table with them!
Sunday, we went to church and then had our home teachers visit. After they left, Grandpa and Grandma Foulger and butts and Jabin came over for dinner. We had dinner, played some baseball, and then tried to finish off the rest of the pies we didn't eat the night before. We sent the kids to bed later so the adults could play some cards! It had been awhile since we got to do that! We had some good laughs!!

Monday, we slept in again and then did some yard work. We got ready and then headed out to Grandpa and Grandma Asay's house for a picnic lunch. It was fun for all of us to be together for the afternoon.

Landon loves riding on the bouncy horse.
The boys loved having their cousins around to play with!

The whole gang! We are just missing Elder Asay!
After hanging out for a while, we came home and the boys ran through the sprinklers while Christian and I put togther the treadmill we just bought. It was a great weekend with all of our family!
