Last day of School!

Today was the last day of school for Carson! Carson has had a great year! According to his report card, he grew 1.5 inches and gained 5.5 pounds! We are so happy about all of his achievements and improvements this year. He was really excited to find out that he got Mrs. J. May next year and that his good friend, Jacob B., is going to be in his class!

He has changed quite a bit from the beginning of this year!
Beginning of 2nd grade.
To celebrate the end of the school year, Carson got to invite a few of his friends over for lunch and a water fight. We woke up to overcast skies and wind. I was so glad that it actually warmed up and was nice enough for the boys to play outside!
Eating some lunch. We had hot dogs, chips, watermelon, string cheese, pudding and pop for lunch.

Jacob was such a good sport and sat at the little guy table!
AFter lunch, we started out with a game where we tied a string to their ankles and attached a water balloon to the end and they tried to pop each others.
Jared was the last man standing with a balloon attached.
Our next game was a balloon toss and they all did pretty good!

After that game, I let them have free rein on the waterballoons. It was quite the war zone!

Carson getting bombed by his friend Braxton.

Once the balloons were gone (which didn't take long), we filled up some totes with water in different spots in the yard, the boys split up into teams and they had a squirter war.
The face-off!

Landon was in heaven having so many friends around to play with!
When the totes ran out of water, we took a time out and had a popsicle break while we filled up the totes again with water and filled the rest of the water balloons.

After the popsicle break they picked up right where they left off...

Landon had a really hard time keeping his hands off the water balloons!

The group (l-r): Parker S., Rocco R., Carson, Jared M., Braxton F., Jacob B., Manning M., and Travis!
I would have to say that this was a great way to start out summer vacation!
