December Happenings!

December is flying by and we are keeping busy even though we have NO school Christmas programs this year...first time since my boys started school!! Here are a few things that have been going on around the Asay house: We had our ward Christmas party. We had lasagna, bread sticks, salad and lots of different kinds of desserts. Our program consisted of some members from our ward talking about how Christmas is celebrated in different parts of the world they have lived in. We learned about Ghana, Denmark and Ukraine. It was so interesting. Carson sang in the choir and the other two boys enjoyed a visit from Santa.
Grandma Foulger came over and we busted out lots of Christmas candy to deliver to family and friends. This is always one of our favorite Christmas traditions! My boys start asking when we are going to make candy as soon as December starts.
With middle school wrestling, high school wrestling has begun. We have had a few meets and Carson has done pretty good. He isn't able to drop down to the weight he wants to be at yet, due to hydration testing rules, so he is having to wrestle kids that are bigger than he is, but he'll get there! He was selected by his coach to be a team captain this year, which he was excited to find out at their first wrestling meet.
Carson asked Carissa Lindsay to winter formal and she said yes! This year, formal is a month later than normal, which is also the night of basketball games and wrestling meets, so it will be interesting to see how it all times out with so much going on with the students!
It has been super cold around here lately! I woke up one morning, early, to see that it was -36.6 degrees outside! YIKES!!
There have been several dress up days for the kids at school to celebrate Christmas. This day it was pj day at the middle school and ugly sweater day the elementary school.
