Easter Break!

Our Easter break was full, full, full. The kids got out of school at noon on Wednesday to start their break. That evening, after baseball practice, we dyed our Easter eggs. They had some pretty good looking eggs when it was all said and done!

Thursday, we decided to head to Billings to the trampoline park and do a little shopping. I was afraid it was going to be super busy, so we decided to try and be there as soon as it opened at 10. We got there right at 10 only to find that there was toddler jump from 10-12. So, we ran a couple of errands, got lunch at Café Rio (Carson's choice) and then headed to jump. The boys had a blast, despite the power being out for more than half the time we were there...which was really lame! After jumping for an hour, we ran the rest of our errands and headed home just in time to drop Travis off at baseball practice.

Friday, the weather prediction was for it to be almost 80 degrees, so we made plans to pick Christian up at work at noon and head to Hyattville for a picnic and to see the petroglyphs. The weather prediction was right on...80 degrees and beautiful. We ate our lunch and then started on what we thought was the petroglyph path. After not seeing any petroglyphs on any of the marked spots on the path, we decided to try the other side of the campground and found them there. They were so neat to look at. They had it mapped out into sections with the major petroglyphs drawn and a explanation for each section on a map for visitors. They were a lot bigger than the ones we had seen above Cowley.

That evening, we went out and did a little horn hunting and looked for asparagus. Carson found 2 sheds in the one spot we went to and we were able to find enough asparagus for us to make creamed asparagus on toast that night!

Saturday, grandma Asay had a picnic and Easter egg hunt for the grandkids. The kids had so much fun spending time with their cousins. The weather was perfect, so we all enjoyed the sunshine and warmth!

All the Asay grandkids: Kandace, Janelle, Stetson, Carson and  Charlie, William, Landon, Chloe, Stahle, Travis, Mya, Britt, Paige, Ian and James trying to run away!
The kids got to find 24 filled eggs and once everyone had 24, they got to find whatever else was left. They made out with their baskets full of candy!

That evening, we mowed the lawn and got our sprinklers running. It was so nice to be able to work outside again. Christian and I worked at the hyart and took the boys along with us. The movie was Wonder Park and ended up being better than what I was expecting it to be.

Sunday was Easter. The boys found their baskets, we had breakfast and watched the Bible movies about the Resurrection of the Savior. After church, we headed to Powell for dinner. Jason and Cassie, grandpa and grandma and Grandma's sister, Arlene and her husband were all there for dinner. It was fun to get to visit with them and play games as a family!

Basket: found!

Travis was the last to find his and even looked right at it before I had to point it out to him!

Travis (and Landon) have a new found love with coin collecting. Travis has a friend in his class this year that got him started on it and he's been loving it. Landon and Travis both got coin books in their Easter baskets that they had a blast filling up with their coins. They took their books with us to Powell to show everyone and Grandpa Foulger gave each of them a silver quarter to add to their collections (Carson got one too but isn't quite into collecting as his brothers are).

Heading to church! The boys got matching ties in their baskets too!
