State Baseball

Last week was consumed with baseball. The All Stars team that Travis was a part of made it to the state baseball tournament that was held in Powell. Their first game was Wednesday evening against Laramie...the #1 team from the other district. Travis played as a sub for left field. They lost their game making it so that they played Riverton (again for the 4th time in 2 weeks) on Thursday. They were able to beat Riverton (yay) and then had to play Laramie again!
Grandma Foulger gave Travis a ride to his first game in style!

During pitcher switches, the outfield boys would get together and chat.
Friday afternoon, the Mustangs played Laramie again. They ended up loosing 4-2, giving them 3rd place!

This picture cracks me up because after two weeks on straight baseball, Travis was tired. We had long, hot days and it was staring to catch up to him!

Grandpa Foulger's store was one of the sponsors!

Travis always had a good cheering section. The first game, he actually had 13 people there to watch him!

Although 3rd place wasn't what they wanted, it's awesome to think that our little community baseball team was third best in the whole state of Wyoming! That's a pretty cool thing!

Receiving his All Stars pin.

Getting his 3rd place medal!

THis was such a fun group of moms to get to hang out with during the games. It's fun to get to know new people from different communities.

Travis had a great time getting to be part of the All Stars team. He had some great coaches that really helped him improve and made some great friends from the other surrounding towns. It's fun to have a sport that we can all compete with each other on the same team.
This as the sight in the back seat each day after games. Most of the time all three of them were asleep!

The team did lots of team bonding during the two tournaments. They had a team bbq and whiffle ball, watch the majors All stars game, played just dance and had popsicels, had a pizza and pool party, and went to a Lovell Mustangs legion baseball game all together. He loved getting to spend time with friends!
