February randoms

It's hard to believe that February is half way over. Here are a few things that we have been up to lately.

We celebrated Valentine's Day a little early with our annual family Valentine's dinner. We did it last Friday because it was the only night we had open before Valentine's Day. It was Travis's turn to help me out with the planning and executing and he was great help! We decided on shrimp as our appetizer, steak for the main dish with twice baked potatoes and asparagus to accompany it for dinner (the boys have been waiting for when they could have steak again). Travis made us some Shirley temples to drink and we enjoyed chocolate dipped strawberries, cream puffs and mini key lime pies for dessert. It was all delicious and it was so fun to do!

Love my little Valentines!

We received Carson's report card in the mail and he was excited to find out that he had made the honor roll. He had a great first semester and has been loving middle school! He's a great student and it shows! He is responsible and tries hard in everything he does! He also was rewarded with a bunch of mustang bucks for his academics and for not missing a day of school. They have a pretty cool school store that they can purchase Lovell Mustang sweatshirts, shirts, bags, hats and other fun things wit their bucks. It's a great reward system for middle schoolers. Good job, Carson!

It's been super cold around here...like below 0 every morning. Last Saturday, we didn't really have anything going on, so the boys talked us into braving the cold and heading to the golf course to sled. It was a whole 7 degrees, but was quite a pleasant day out in the sun. They sledded and snowboarded time after time and had a blast!

Carson finished up his 6th grade basketball season. They ended up losing their last game by a point...dang! He learned a lot this year and really enjoyed it! Now it will be on to track!
