camera phone randoms!

I was looking through the pictures on my phone and realized that there some some things that I haven't blogged about and want to make sure that we have them documented for the future!

One of the things on the boys' summer bucket list was to go to the water park in Billings. We went with grandma Foulger one day and the kids had a blast. There were A LOT of kids there, but that didn't stop them from having fun!

It must have been a good day when you fall asleep on the car like this!

Another thing on their summer bucket list was to have a cook-off. The boys love to watch kids cook-off shows on tv and they have inspired them to want to cook. We decided one day that we were going to be home all day, that each of the two bigger boys we pick a cookie recipe they wanted to make and then Christian and Landon would be the judges to find out who's was the better cookie. Carson decided to make a chocolate crinkle cookie and Travis tried a new recipe that was for Milky Way cookies. Each boy took a turn telling about their cookie and why they wanted to make that kind.
Christian and Landon trying out the cookies.

Judge Christian explaining what he liked about one of the cookies. The results were that Travis' was a better cookie for dunking in milk and Carson's cookie had really good flavor.
Last Saturday, we helped grandma Foulger put on a garage sale at her house. We spent several days getting things set up in her garage. It turned out really well and what we weren't able to sell, we boxed up and took to the day of goodwill and donated them there.
The boys thought it was super cool to get to ride in the back of the truck to go get tables to use at the garage sale.

Grandpa Foulger helped Landon finally learn to ride his bike on 2 wheels. He still needs to practice, but took right off on his first try!

We've been boating a few times and thankfully they have both been really good days at the lake...unlike the 3 previous times we went and it got windy and yucky on us!
Monday night for family home evening, we went and stayed on the lake until 8! It was a beautiful night...despite the horrendous swarm of biting horse flies we couldn't get away from!
We went again Saturday and took Grandma Asay with us. The boys finally coaxed her into getting into the water with them!

Carson rode with Landon on the tube.
We went and let the boys cliff jump for a while. They always love to do that!

Carson skiing. He's getting pretty comfortable out there.

I love this face! He's such a dude!

When we were at Wal-Mart one time this summer, Carson found a Venus Fly trap so we decided to get one and see what it did. Last night while I was getting dinner ready, I noticed that one of the traps had something large and dark in it. I took it over to some better like and sure enough, there was a large fly caught in it. So cool! We are excited to see how long it takes for the fly to disappear.

We had a big storm pass through and the rainbow after it was so pretty, but my phone camera just didn't do it justice.

Carson took tennis lessons this summer and finished up this last week. He had a great time and learned some new things about the game and improved on his skills. Now we just need to go play so he can keep using them.

This last Thursday marked one year since Grandma Dorothy had passed away. Grandma Asay suggested that we do some random acts of kindness that day to remember her. Carson has been mowing the lawn at her house this summer, so Travis decided that his act of kindness would be to sweep the lawn clippings from the sidewalk for Carson. Landon left a quarter in the gumball machine at the grocery store for a surprise for a kid. Carson wrote a note to the ladies at the library thanking them for the fun activities they plan and attached a pack of gum to it and left it on the counter for them to find. I thought his was a great once since Grandma Dorothy loved working at the library and we loved seeing her there!
