This last week, I think we finally started the business of the holiday season. We started by talking about the things we are thankful for for family home evening on Monday night. The boys were full of all sorts of ideas and did a really good job. We have SO many things to be thankful for!

Last Saturday was Lovell's holiday mingle in town. They had lots of things going on
Friday, the kindergarteners went to the nursing home to sing their Thanksgiving songs and poems to the residents there. The worked on making their indian attire (shirt, headband, and necklace) all week. In fact, Travis wasn't very healthy all week and I kept thinking he wasn't going to go to school, but he really didn't want to miss out on making all their cool things and reassured me he was feeling good.

Our little indian, Running Buffalo. When he came home and told me what his indian name was going to be one day, I thought he said rotting buffalo, and I couldn't believe he would pick that name. He clarified that his name was acutally running buffalo.

Saturday, was the town holiday mingle. There were lots of things going on down town all day, but we only went to see Santa and to make some holiday crafts at the fire station. Each of the boys told Santa they wanted new bikes and a few other things. That night, we were scheduled to host 3 couples at our house as part of a dinner club. Two of the couples ended up having to due to sickness. Since we had babysitting all lined up for our kids, we decided to just go out to the Branding Iron with one of the couples for dinner. It was a really enjoyable double date with friends.

Santa was really thurough this year in finding out what the kids wanted. He talked to each kid for quite a while...making the wait to see him kind of long!

Friday, the kindergarteners had their annual Thanksgiving feast for their lunch. Landon and I went and helped Travis' teacher get things ready and serve and then we got to enjoy lunch with them. They had been studying the indians and pilgrims in social studies. |
