Christian and I got back from a 6 day trip to Puerto Rico. WinField, a company that Christian buys most of the Co-op's chemicals from, sent us there for their annual conference. We left our house at 4 am Wednesday morning and drove to Cody where we flew out. Originally, we were supposed to fly from Cody to Denver, Denver, to Philladelphia and then down to Puerto Rico. When we arrived in Denver, we saw that they had delayed our flight to Philly by an hour which would have only given us like 15 minutes to catch our flight to Puerto Rico. Luckily, we were flying with the WinField rep. out of Billings that Christian works with and he was able to talk to a travel agent and get us a different flight from Denver to Dallas and then on to Puerto Rico. We didn't arrive to our resort until close to midnight by the time we got everyone's luggage and drove to the resort that was located in Fajarado from San Juan. The next morning, we were actually up earlier than I thought we were going to be! We ate breakfast, got in our suits and headed to the beach for the day.

One thing that was different from this resort compared to the other ones we have stayed at is that there was no beach outside of the resort. The resort itself, it build up on a hill. Each time we wanted to go to the beach, we had to take a glass elevator down to a little tram like thing and from there, we took a ferry to Palomino Island (that made trips over every half hour). It was quite the ordeal to go to the beach, so you didn't want to forget anything...like your little white cards that you got when we checked in that said you were staying at the resort...learned that lesson on our first try to go the beach!

We soaked up lots of sun while we could that first day. We walked down the beach as far as we could one direction and found several shells for the boys and saw some little crabs. It started to cloud up around 2 and rained off and on for a while, so we just decided to head back to our room so we could get ready for the welcome dinner that night.

Friday, Christian had meetings most of the day. I slept in, had breakfast and then met up with four other ladies who's husbands were at the meetings for breakfast and then the beach. It started to get rainy around 3, so we headed back to the resort. Christian got done with his meetings about 4:30 that day. That night, WinField had a really nice dinner for everyone and brought in Country singer Brantley Glibert for a concert after dinner. He put on a pretty good concert. It was fun to be so close and to actually feel the music! I don't think the older generation agreed on him being a country singer because he actually sounds more like Rock.

| There were iguanas all over. I only ever saw this guy at lunch. We saw another lizard of some type, but he was too fast to catch a picture of. |
 |
| It's hard to see, but it poured on us. It didn't last long, but man there was a lot of rain in a short amount of time! |
 |
| This was as the sun was going down. The sun rays were amazing! |
 |
| We got brave and went up by the stage towards the end of the concert. |

Saturday, the Billings rep. took us snorkeling. We rode on a catamaran to a different beach where we got to explore and have lunch. After lunch, we got back on our boat and headed to a reef area to snorkel. The snorkeling was ok, but definitely not the best we have been to. After about and hour of snorkeling, we headed back. That evening, we were invited to a private dinner with some of the "Big" guys from the company. We enjoyed a taco bar, delicious desserts, and free Brantley Gilber CD's and cigars(for those that wanted them).

Sunday, we laid low, slept in,did some souvenir shopping, and then went to the beach for the last time. That night, we had dinner at the resort and watched the super bowl in our room.

 |
| We walked down the other side of the beach on Sunday. There were TONS of locals there with their boats. I thought it was interesting that they would come in their boats and then just sit in the water to hang out. There weren't very many of them actually on the beach, but they were having a good time in the water! |

Sunday, we caught a bus ride to the airport at 9 and flew out at 12. We flew into Dallas and on to Denver. When we got to Denver, we were told that there was a 60% we could land in Cody. We got all loaded and they had to ask three people to stay behind so they could fill up with more fuel in case we had to head back to Denver. We ended up being able to land in Cody just before it started to get nasty. We woke up the next morning to a couple inches of snow and negative temperatures!
That sounds like a great Work trip! Glad that you could have lots of fun.
