Pup wrestling!

For the last two weeks, Carson has been attending a wrestling camp at the high school. He got to work with the high school wrestlers, one of which was his uncle Jacob. He has been learning some of the basics of wrestling and LOVING every minute of it! He told me that his favorite thing was the half nelson. On Friday, they got to have a "tournament". It wasn't a real tournament, but they got to wrestle kids their same weight and skill level. Carson ended up getting to wrestle five times. It was so funny to watch. Anyone that knows Carson, knows he doesn't have a mean bone in his body! When it came time to wrestle friends, it was more of a casual wrestle for fun thing! He was full of smiles the entire time and had a real good experience. He is already talking about doing it next year!

Carson had quite a cheering section. Grandpa and Grandma Asay came with three of his cousins, Daniel and Kasi and  Britt, Grandpa and Grandma Foulger, Jared, Jacob and us were all there to watch him.
Christian, Carson and Travis all ready to wrestle.
Carson wrestled his first match on the mat that his uncle Jacob was  the ref at. One thing Carson learned is that you can't call your own pin in wrestling...you have to let the refs do that! In his first match, he got the kid on his back and hit the mat with his hand and called the pin...just like they do at home when he and Travis wrestle.

Carson had to wrestle three of his friends from school.
This is pretty much how the night went...lots of smiles...whether he was on  the top or on the bottom. At least he was having fun!

Everyone was winner!

Travis wanted to join in the picture. He was a little jealous that he didn't get a medal.

Carson and his bulldog medal! He has been wearing it everywhere the last couple of days!

  1. I love Carson's wrestling stance. I bet Travis can hardly wait till he gets old enough to do this. How fun!
