Proud Mom moments
Over the last month, my kids have been recognized for their hard work in the classroom and in athletics. I am so proud of all of their hard work and the good examples they are to eachother and their classmates and friends. I'm amazed at what they are capable of doing and so thankful for the great people that help mold them in the classroom and in athletics. We are sure lucky to be part of such a great school district!
Landon was recognized during an assembly at school for being respectful. He is a great example of a respectful student. He is respenctful and kind towards other stuedents and teachers in the elementary school, but also everywhere else!He is such a good example to others around him and I'm so proud of him!
What made the assembly even more fun is that Travis was picked by his teachers to come over from the middle school to talk to the elementary students about being responsible. He did a great job on his speech, even though he was super nervous about doing it!
Carson lettered for the second time in wrestling. The wrestling team had their awards banquet and dinner where they gave out the wrestling awards. I love that the wrestling team is more like a family than just a team. Their coach has done an excellent job of making everyone feel welcome no matter who they are or what their skill level is. I don't think any of the other sports programs at our school have the same type of "family" environment!
Travis was nominated by several of the teachers at the middle school for student of the month. It was so fun to read what his teachers had to say about him. He really is a great kid and we are so proud of him! He was recognized at the montly school board meeting and was given a student of the month shirt and certificate, along with a couple of certificates to some businesses in town. He was not very excited about having to go in front of the school board, but it was fun to see them stand and give him an applause and then for him to get to shake each of their hands. He even got his picture in the newspaper (which he loves!!)
