Christmas Vacation

We tried to enjoy and take advantage of as much of our Christmas break as we could. Carson had wrestling practice every day after Christmas, but when they could, the boys had fun putting together their legos and other gifts through out the days.
In BIG news, Carson studied and took his test to get his learner's permit. He didn't pass the written test the first time, so we went to Cody a couple days later he and took it again and he passed!! He even drove us home from Cody! He's been loving getting to drive and is getting better and better every time!
Travis was able to get his deer turned into jerkey and we REALLY enjoyed it ! Our neighbor, Greg, helped him and Christian do it and it was yummy! I think we're going to have to invest in the equipment to make jerkey if we're going to continue to have mulitple game animals being shot!
On New Year's Eve, we started out the night at Grandpa and Grandma Asay's house. Around 8 we left there and headed to our friend's, the Hendershot's, house to ring in the New Year. The kids had a blast playing with friends and we enjoyed treats and visiting.
For Christian's birthday, we decided to go outside of Cowley to a spot where a guy said he had found shark vertebrae fossils. We explored the hills for fossils and then decided to go to Powell and have some lunch at Millstone. After lunch, we came home, Carson had practice, and then we hung out and had apple pie for dessert!
We celebrated our 17th anniversary the next day by going out to dinner in Powell. We had wanted to go on an overnight stay to celebrate, but wrestling practices made it hard to get away. It was still fun to go out and have dinner. Overall, it was a great break and we wern't ready to head back to school today...breaks always seem to go too fast!
