Christmas Eve
Our Christmas Eve was hopping this year. We headed out to Grandpa and Grandpa Asay's house around 3 to help get gnocchis cooking. This in one tradition that our whole family loves! This year, the kids did 98% of the gnocchi rolling and they did an awesome job! We had french bread and salad along with our gnocchis and peppermint ice cream for dessert.
After dinner, grandma Asay had the kis play the head shoulders, knees and toes game. They lined up across from another cousin and then grandma would say a body part that they would have to put their hands on and keep going until she said present and the first one to grab the gift got to keep it. They thought it was hilarious to play!
Around 6, we headed over to Powell for some finger foods and to hang out. We gad quite the spread that included a relish tray, shrimp, cheese ball, meat and cheese tray, chips and dip, 7 layer dip and pop. We sat aroudn and visited until about 9 and then headed for home!
My grandma had sent each of us a box of the most delicious white chocolate popcorn that we got to open that night.
When we got home, they boys were ready to get ready for bed, so they opened up their Christmas pj's, we read the Christmas story from the scriptures, got a plate ready for Santa and then headed to bed. Christian and I were able to finally get to bed around 12 that night.
