Birthday time!!

Today was Landon's 7th birthday. I can't believe my baby is now 7. At 7, Landon:
*loves animals
*loves to be outside
*is in charge of vacuuming the stairs, the hardwood floor downstairs, cleaning his room, making his bed and taking care of his cats
*is so good with his younger cousins. In fact, he was Sloan's favorite last time they were here visiting
*has to sleep with his bear, blanket, and a fan on at night
*loves hot dogs
*is kind of a hoarder...he loves to "collect" things
*is looking forward to wrestling this winter
*always tries hard to be kind to others
*is good about trying different foods
*loves spicy things like salsa, jalapenos, and banana peppers!

We are so thankful that Landon is part of our family. He definitely brightens our home!
We opened gifts on his birthday before school so that he could enjoy his bike after school since it was supposed to be warm. All he said he wanted for his birthday was a bike with a water bottle  and fishing stuff.
Traditionally, we do pancakes for breakfast on birthdays, but Landon isn't a huge fan, so he was lucky enough to get roll-ups for his birthday.

All ready to ride his new bike!
After school with his birthday crown from his teacher. He took cupcakes with him to school to share with his class for his treat!

Since week nights are always crazy around here with practices and activities, we decided to have a big family birthday on Sunday. I think there ended up being like 32 of us. Landon loves hot dogs and wanted a football birthday, we did a hot dog/braut/polish dog bar with a bunch of toppings, along with salads, chips and baked beans!

Loading his dog up with banana peppers!

Since it was pretty chilly outside, we set up a table downstairs for some of the older kids to sit at.

These 4 braved the cold weather and ate outside.

We are so lucky to be surrounded by so much family!!

Opening presents is always a little chaotic with all the cousins...most of the time I couldn't even see what he got because all the cousins were so excited to see and help!!

When I had originally asked Landon what He wanted for his birthday dessert, he said apple pie! Well, I wasn't about to make enough pies to feed everyone that was coming, so his second choice was a football crazy cake.

He got LOTS of fishing lures and supplies and took his time to meticulously put them all away in the new tackle box Jason and Cassie gave him.

A few days before his birthday, he got to open a gift from Megan and Jabin when we went to visit them at Grandma Foulger's house. He got a football, pistachios and some other treats.
