Carson turns 12!

Carson turned the big 1-2 yesterday. He's been looking forward to his birthday for quite a while mostly because he's the last one in his church class to turn twelve and has been by himself in primary for 2 months! He started the day with the traditional number pancakes. I also picked him up for birthday lunch. We ate champs chicken at Grandma Dorothy's house. He decided this year, he didn't want to do a big family birthday party, but wanted to go out to dinner as a family at El Tapatio in Powell (his favorite)! We left as soon as he was done with wrestling practice and headed over. Grandpa and Grandma Asay, Grandma Foulger (grandpa was out of town for meetings) and Jason and Cassie met us there for dinner. It was delicious, as always! After dinner, we came home and he finally had a chance to open his gifts. He got a new fishing pole (he's been wanting a new one because his makes noises when you reel it back in) and Wyoming Cowboys shirt from grandpa and grandma Asay, a new pair of work gloves and some money to go on a date with grandma Foulger and go shopping with from grandpa and grandma Foulger, a cool dinosaur dig kit from Jason and Cassie and then some clothes, a new tie for when he gets to pass the sacrament, legos and some shelves for his room. He's been saying for months that he would love some shelves in his room so that he can put the lego sets he builds and wants to keep on them. Because I knew it was going to be kind of a crazy day, we just picked up some cookies for his birthday dessert...lame, but that's how it works some times. It sounded like he had a great day. We are so blessed to have him as part of our family!
Birthday pancakes
A new shirt to wear to school.
Birthday lunch!

Happy birthday!

Checking out the cool dino dig stuff Jason and Cassie gave him. It's a solid piece of cement that he has to pick away at with tools to find the bones. Once he finds the bones than he can assemble them into a dinosaur. He's excited for when wrestling is done so that he has time to work on it and his legos!
