The first couple weeks of school, Carson practiced with a 5th grade choir that was asked to sing a song for the 100th Anniversary of the Park Service celebration. The song was recorded and then used as background music in a video that was put together about the Parks in the area.
Here is the link to the video they were in (Scroll down to Earth Anthem):
The first week in September, the fifth graders got to go to Northwest College Field Camp for an over night campout. They did team building ropes courses, hiked and learned while they were there. Carson had a blast. He was in a cabin with his friend Jacob, which he was really happy about! They got back the Friday of Labor Day weekend. As soon as he got home, we loaded up and made our way to Jackson for the long weekend.

The weekend of Travis' baptism, Megan and Jabin flew in. We spend Saturday shooting guns and hanging out. It was fun to have them here to hang out with and celebrate in Travis' special day!

To celebrate Landon's birthday at school, we commissioned Mikayla to come and show us how to make her famous homemade donuts. It was really fun to see how they were made and even more fun to eat hot donuts!

This year has been an amazing year for apples. The trees have been super full...definitely a bumper crop this year! The boys have loved being to pick as many apples as they want to eat while at grandpa and grandma Asay's house. They love to pick from the tree right next to the tramp, eat the apple to the core and see how far they can throw them while jumping on the tramp. For family home evening one Monday, we got together with everyone to make apple cider. The boys always love getting to do this and love the cider.
