Travis turns 8!

Last night we celebrated Travis' birthday. He had a great day full of celebration!

His Sunday school teacher stopped by the night before his birthday and dropped off two chocolate sprinkle donuts in the shape of an 8 for him to have for breakfast on his birthday. She is so thoughtful and he was so excited to get a surprise the night before his birthday.
With his 8 shaped donuts.
On his birthday, Landon and I took him out for lunch. Travis chose to go to Minchows and had two tacos and we even had time for ice cream after we were done!
Lunch at Minchows!
When we were originally talking about what he wanted to do for his birthday, we had said he wanted to do a fishing birthday and invite everyone to come fishing in the pond. We had thought would be a fun idea to fish, have a weenie roast at the fire pit down by the pond and then have cake. When school started, we found out that it was back to school night at the school, so we had meetings all evening making it so that we couldn't do the fishing party. We still had a fishing themed party, but just did cake and ice cream with all our family...minus Carson who was away on a fifth grade campout and both Grandpa and Grandma Foulgers.
The bobbers I made from cheap white paper lanterns.

He got some cool light sabres from Jared and Renee.

The nerf gun he wanted from grandpa and grandma Asay. This gun has got some power behind it and is super fun to shoot!

A gift card from Jason and Cassie to go shopping!

Travis was super surprised to open up a bb gun from us. He hadn't asked for one, but Christian thought we should get him one since we got Carson one when he turned 8. He has been chomping at the bit to get to go out and shoot with it!

His fishing cake. I ordered it from the store with just the writing on it. When I went to pick it up the lade in the bakery was really concerned with how ugly it was and kept asking if I wanted her to add anything to it. I assured her that this is exactly how I wanted it and was planning to add some of my own things to it. We added the bait cup, worm, "dirt" and bobber later.
