Fun Day

Yesterday, Landon and I spent all day at the school watching/helping at the Elementary fun day. We watched the boys have fun outside at the various stations. This year, they had tug of war, the obstacle course, and several relay races. It was kind of chilly and the dark clouds made it look like it was going to rain on us all morning, but luckily, it never did. The boys also got to swim for an hour and play some games in the gym.

Carson attempting to grab a marble with his toes and carry it down to a bucket. The kids had a hard time keeping them in their toes because the grass was wet making their feet wet.

The tug of war always seems to be the kid's favorite! They get supper competitive when it comes time to do it!

While we were waiting for the next group of kids to come to the obstacle course, the ladies in charge let Landon run through it a couple of times. He thought he was pretty cool to get to do it like his big brothers.

Landon is really in to showing people his muscles lately!

Travis on the obstacle course. He ran through it 3 times.

Carson flying onto the big mats. He ran through the course 4 times.

I missed this relay with Carson's class. Travis was a little embarrassed to have to wear the little floatie. I thought it was funny!
After all the field events, we stayed and had lunch with the boys. This is the first year I had decided to do this and when I went in to pay for our lunches, they said that because I was a volunteer for the activities, we would get our lunch for free today! We sat and visited with Travis while he ate until it was time for them to go to recess and then we got in line with Carson to get our lovely boiled hot dogs for lunch. Landon was super excited to have hot dogs for lunch...he LOVES them! We ate lunch with Carson and his friends on the lawn of the school.
We took a picture while we were visiting Travis during his lunch. Landon wasn't into smiling for the camera.

After lunch, we walked Travis's class down to the Hyart where the school got to watch Big Hero Six. They gave each kid a bag of skittles and a water bottle to enjoy during the show.

When the movie was over, we helped the kids walk back to school. They had just enough time when they got back to gather their things and get ready to head home! They both said they had lots of fun at their fun day and had lots to say about who they beat and how many times they did the different things!

  1. That sounds like such a fun closing day to the school year.
Landon looks like he is anxious to join his brothers at school.
